hopeless hopeless romantic
Yesterday when I was in the fx on my way home, a couple who's sitting beside me were talking about their family / financial situation. I know it's not right to listen to other people's conversation but they were sitting right beside me, i couldn't help it. This was how their conversation went:
girl: why did you not go home immediately last night?
guy: i went out to drink. isn't that what your family think of me? a drunk? so there. i drank!
girl: we don't have enough money to last until next week.
guy: i will work tonight so we can have money. im trying my best to support us. your family should not be bothered if we ask your relatives for help every now and then. im trying my best you know that.
girl: i know.
wala lang, it's just i think the girl loves this guy so much that she'll readily accept him for who he is or accept whatever he say or do.
also, my friend who's supposed to get married (originally wanted the wedding to be set last weekend of April ) is having problems (again) with her hubby to be. he still has not set the wedding date (after 45 years). they have their license, the reception's settled, everyone's excited and so what's the problem, i ask my friend. she responded with "i dunno". maybe he's having cold feet, i said. "i should be getting the cold feet! i'm 4 months on the way!". okay, so have you clarified if he really want to get married?, i dare asked (btw, this is NOT a shotgun wedding). "he said he's thinking about the kid's future". with a response like that only one thing came to my mind. this guy doesn't want to marry my friend, but 4 years of a relationship and a baby on the way made him feel that it's his responsibility to give up his bachelorhood. and that's just bullcrap!
you marry a person because you love 'em and you want to spend the rest of your life with 'em.
i know i'm a hopeless romantic but situations like these makes the cynic in me come out. i know that when you truly love a person you tend to love them unconditionally but for me, in all honesty, i can truly love a person but when my future or my "pagkatao" is already at stake. dude, i have to sit back and think about the situation first. and that just makes me sad at times 'cause i've been in a situation before wherein i had to choose between love and a better choice (oh i've been there a lot of times!) and since i'm still single, i guess i haven't found the right man yet. but my question really is, is it so hard nowadays to actually find someone whom you're compatible with and is also thinking of a real future for a possible family?
i guess chuck is right (she almost always is..hahahaha!), screw lablayp (lovelife). we'd better start planning on building Screw Men, They're Dumb Club (aka Men Suck Club). ahahahaha.
in as much as i deny it, i know i still believe that the Creator did not forget to make me a partner. he's just probably lost (or if he's not single, he still hasn't figured that the person he's with is not the ONE for him). and well, if he doesn't find his way to me, (after 24 years of screwed up decisions) i know i'll be fine.

In medieval Europe, dragons were considered mostly evil and a generally bad omen. Christianity linked the dragon with Satan because of the dragon's snake-like appearance. However, to the Orient cultures the dragon was a symbol of wisdom and royalty. It was a benign animal and the fifth creature of the Chinese zodiac. It resided over the east and the sunrise. It was also said to bring rain and the springtime. The dragon is interesting because it combines all four elements: air, earth, fire, and water. It could fly, had the horns of a ox, breathed fire, and resided over the moon.
